Felt this - feels like increasingly I see an accelerationist tech culture that values growth at all costs versus making the world a better place - and that sentiment being rewarded
i deeply resonated with this piece, thank you for taking the time to share it. being one foot in and one foot out of the ~capital T~ Tech world, it feels especially creepy how the same methods -- certain language, UI, interaction metaphors -- are used by seemingly opposing creative forces. elements that feel playful and relieving on a DIY website are eerie on the landing page of dystopic direct to consumer startups
humanity has been, for thousands of years, in a collective adolescence of fear: greed, anger, delusion, etc. all emotions downstream from a sense of separate-ness, from an unknowing of our total interconnection and interdependence.
i saw something the other day– "love is our destiny"– and i think that's true. more and more we're waking up to the ways fear keeps us in states of separation. more and more people are pursuing lives of love, endeavoring to tilt the scales towards our destiny.

<3 This resonated so much with me. It's comforting to know that others feel the same way. I choose to not feed the fear inside me!
