I feel like our high school experiences were quite similar, since I find it easy to relate to all your high school reflections 😆 Anyway, I really like the concept of psychological oxygen, and I think it accurately depicts how I've felt transitioning into the workforce. I wonder if people try harder to explore vibe tribes after starting work because "work-life" balance is talked about a lot more (whereas I've never heard of "school-life" balance).

hmmm thats an interesting hypothesis-- say more about how you're visualizing work-life balance connecting with vibe tribes? as in having a vibe tribe offsets the anxieties of work well?

At least for me, once I was no longer a student, I felt like I was given the freedom to have hobbies outside of work that had no other purpose than to provide enjoyment (i.e. interests that weren't part of some larger game plan). And sure, I think many people find their vibe tribe through common interests, which could also offset anxieties from work as an added benefit.
