hi everyone!
Sorry for the quiet on this front the past couple weeks. I've been struggling with an on-and-off cold and was also spending a lot of time practicing for a dance performance!!
A few weeks ago I published a piece on how technology feels like magic and how we can give people control and agency over shaping that magic to work for them. This was also published in Reboot's newsletter, a great community that I've been getting involved with lately. Hi and welcome to the new folks that found me through this :) It was super validating to see people resonate with the message and hoping to be able to share more of my writing through these broader forums!
Trying out a new short format for updating my latest mini-essays:
I had a dance performance (#93) last weekend. I also want to work towards being a provocateur (#89) and more naturally myself in my creations (#93). I've also been diving more into my rabbit hole on web3 and explored a fun poem project from Robin Sloan (amulets #91) and a musing on the future of tools (#90). I also have thought about where energy naturally goes and have been reflecting on how my natural disposition is that of a maker (energy liquidity #94). Lastly, I checked out my Spotify Wrapped, and while i had a lot of fun seeing my trends change over the year (and exploring the "blends wrapped" with friends), I mused about how this is just another sugarcoated strategy from a company to keep our data locked up (#92).
Wow! You're so close to reaching your 100 piece goal π
Really love this snippet from your dance performance post
> I think the things we create are some of the most intimate reflections of ourselves, so itβs only natural that the best works are those that are the most authentic reflections of pieces of us.
