75% mini-essays experiment (73-76 📝)
oops somehow i forgot to send this when i posted it, so here’s a delayed email.
im 75% (ok 76% now since I wrote another before publishing this) through the mini-essay experiment!! I’ve started some initial thoughts around how this evolves after I reach my goal, but I’m overall incredibly grateful for pushing myself to start this journey. It has truly been an exercise in “quantity is a precursor to quality” and now it feels almost second nature to push the seed of an idea into something fleshed out enough to be shared and pitched and consumed. Another meta useful piece of this experiment is the resulting artifact of mapping out how my mind has wandered and focused on different areas throughout this year, and I have a permanent bookmark to reference for those essays that have especially stayed in my mind.
anyway here’s the next few from this week, hope you enjoy!
In life news, I’ve been getting more into poetry lately too, so if you have any recs send them my way! SF also had a very unusually rainy weekend, which I spent going to Litquake’s Lit Crawl (a literary crawl in SF where I got to listen to a bunch of local authors do readings from their pieces and books) and reading my new books from said crawl with a hot espresso :)
